My name is Wojtek. I create paintings, B&W photographs and sculptures made out of steel, concrete and wood since 1980. 

 

I was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1955 and I live in Cologne, Germany since 1978. I studied the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology. At a young age I discovered my fascination for art, which developed through different structures, materials and techniques during my studies.

 

My entire professional activity is accompanied by artistic visions and projects. In the beginning, the black and white photography was in the foreground, because it can emphasize forms and structures. Over time, I began to create paintings and sculptures made out of steel, concrete and color pigments.

 

Art reflects mysteries and expectations of life, inviting the viewer to be interested and to ask questions that he tries to answer. Essential is the coincidence that brings the answer and maintains the mystery of the art.

 

In 2020, I released an album on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of artistic activity summarizing some of my works. You can see it in digital version right here.

 

That wasn't my last word - I remain artistically active. New sculptures and paintings are in progress. I actively attend exhibitions and art fairs in Germany and Poland.
